At Open Arms we provide a consistent and predictable environment. Toddlers learn through routines. They need room to explore and get messy. We provide many hands-on experiences for the children to learn and grow. The teachers also do creative art with the children, read, sing, listen to a variety of music, and play on our toddler playground or in our full-size Gymnasium. Through these positive interactions, your toddler will learn about themselves and how to relate to others. Your toddler will be cared for in a positive manner. They will be rocked and cuddled. They will be spoken to and smiled at. Through these interactions, your toddler and our caregivers will build a relationship built on trust, which will create an appropriate environment where learning and growth will happen each day.

Diapers will be changed every 2-3 hours throughout the day, or as needed when a diaper becomes soiled. Please be sure to take home your child’s TODDLER DAILY REPORT form to keep you informed about your child’s day at Open Arms Christian Child Development Center.
